Program Overview

The Bachelor of Science in Business and Psychology at Illinois Tech is a STEM-designated, interdisciplinary program that merges the analytical foundation of business with the behavioral insights of psychology. Taught jointly by faculty from the Stuart School of Business and the Lewis College of Science and Letters, this degree equips students with a dual perspective critical to thriving in fields such as marketing, HR, organizational management, and behavioral economics.

The curriculum combines core business competencies (accounting, finance, analytics, marketing, and strategic management) with applied psychology (social, industrial-organizational, and abnormal psychology). Year 1:

  • Introduction to business, economics, and analytics

  • Industrial psychology, research methods, and statistics for behavioral sciences

  • Marketing, supply chain analytics, psychopathology, and psychology electives

  • First Interprofessional Project (IPRO I)

Year 4:

  • Strategic Management capstone (BUS 480), psychology electives, and remaining free electives

  • Final Interprofessional Project (IPRO II)
