Program Overview

The BSBA at Illinois Tech’s Stuart School of Business is a STEM-focused program that blends core business principles with a foundation in science, technology, and analytical thinking. Course overview

Year 1:

  • Introduction to business and economics, business analytics, micro- and macroeconomics

  • Calculus and natural science foundation

  • First-year programming (CS 105 or CS 110)

Year 2:

  • Financial and managerial accounting, organizational behavior, business law

  • Marketing and finance decision-making

  • Core humanities and social science electives

Year 3:

  • Supply chain analytics, strategic cost management, analytics for optimization

  • Business economics, first two specialization electives

  • Two required Interprofessional Projects (IPRO I & II)

Year 4:

  • Capstone: Strategic Management and Design Thinking (BUS 480)

  • Final specialization electives and free electives

  • Advanced humanities/social science coursework

Experiential Learning (Research, Projects, Internships etc.)

  • Interprofessional Projects (IPRO): Required team-based projects solving real industry challenges
