Program Overview

The Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship at Louisiana State University’s E. J. Ourso College of Business is a unique paired degree program that must be completed alongside another LSU BS or BA degree.

This program provides students with the entrepreneurial mindset and practical skills necessary to launch startups, manage family businesses, or drive innovation within established organizations.

Students participate in pitch competitions, consulting projects, internships, and the Louisiana Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Program of Study (LEEPS).

Course Overview:

  • Year 1: Principles of Microeconomics, English Composition, Introduction to Management Information Systems, College Algebra, Introductory Financial Accounting, Calculus with Business and Economic Applications, Elective

  • Year 2: Principles of Macroeconomics, Introduction to Business Statistics, Introductory Managerial Accounting, Money, Banking and Macroeconomic Activity, English Composition, Statistical Methods and Models, Elective

  • Year 3: Financial Management, Entrepreneurship, Intrapreneurship, Innovation and Creativity, Special Topics in Entrepreneurship, Business Planning, Principles of Management, Principles of Marketing, Introduction to Operations Management

  • Year 4: Business Law, Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship Elective, Elective

Experiential Learning (Research, Projects, Internships etc.)

  • Entrepreneurship Internships and Consulting Projects: Hands-on opportunities to build, manage, or advise real ventures
