Louisiana State University Baton RougeThe BS in International Trade & Finance (ITF) at Louisiana State University, offered through the E. J. Ourso College of Business, prepares students to analyze global markets, international policy, trade, and finance. The program equips graduates with the skills to evaluate the impact of international markets on domestic economies, offering an optional Empirical Economic Analysis concentration for students interested in advanced econometric and data analysis.
Students build expertise in microeconomics, macroeconomics, international trade, public policy, and international business, with opportunities to work on real-world global trade and finance issues.
Course Overview:
Year 1: Foundations in English, college algebra, calculus, natural sciences, management information systems, and general education courses.
Year 2: Principles of microeconomics and macroeconomics, accounting, business statistics, and general education courses.
Year 3: Managerial accounting, money and banking, international trade, intermediate microeconomics, oral and written communication, and business electives.
Year 4: Intermediate macroeconomics, international electives, strategic management, and upper-level business electives. Optional advanced econometrics and time series courses for students in the Empirical Economic Analysis concentration.
