Louisiana State University Baton RougeThe BS in Management at Louisiana State University, offered through the E. J. Ourso College of Business, equips students with the skills to effectively plan, organize, staff, and lead organizations in a global business environment. The program focuses on key management areas including leadership, organizational behavior, human resources, international management, and strategic decision-making. Students can specialize in one of three concentrations: Human Resource Management, International Management, or Strategic Leadership, allowing for personalized career preparation.

Course Overview:
Year 1: Foundations in English, college algebra, calculus, management information systems, natural sciences, and humanities.
Year 2: Principles of microeconomics and macroeconomics, accounting, business statistics, and general education courses.
Year 3: Managerial accounting, principles of management, marketing, financial management, operations management, communication, and upper-level business electives.
Year 4: Organizational behavior, strategic management, concentration-specific courses, and advanced business electives. Students choose from Human Resource Management, International Management, or Strategic Leadership concentrations.
Paid Internships: Students can secure internships with local, regional, and national employers, including top firms in Louisiana, LSU Athletics, and creative services. Internships are credit-eligible and help fulfill degree requirements.
Student Employment and Campus Engagement: Hands-on leadership opportunities are available through LSU campus jobs in event management, creative design, marketing, and social media.
Study Abroad and Global Experiences: Management majors are encouraged to participate in international study programs to build cross-cultural management and leadership skills.
Case Competitions and Student Organizations: Students can join management, entrepreneurship, and SHRM-affiliated clubs, and compete in case competitions to solve real-world business challenges.
