Michigan Technological UniversityThe Bachelor of Science in Engineering Management at Michigan Technological University is a distinctive degree offered by the AACSB-accredited College of Business. The program is designed to prepare students to bridge the gap between engineering and business, meeting strong industry demand for leaders who can manage complex technical operations.

Year 2: Calculus II, University Chemistry II or Physics II, Statistics, Principles of Accounting, Principles of Finance, Principles of Marketing, Lab Science, HASS Electives
Year 3: Operations & Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Management Information Systems, Organizational Behavior, Teamwork and Problem Solving, Business Data Analytics, HASS Upper Division Electives, Free Electives
Year 4: Strategic Management, Engineering Management Electives, Advanced Business/Engineering Electives, HASS Upper Division Electives, Free Electives
Enterprise Teams: Work on industry-sponsored projects in cross-disciplinary teams.
Internships and Co-ops: Strongly encouraged and supported by university partnerships.
Capstone Project: Strategic Management course focusing on real-world problem solving.
Industry Exposure: Access to 400+ annual recruiting employers, including Bobcat, Caterpillar, General Motors, and Salesforce.
Move from project or operations management to senior management, plant manager, or director roles.
Advance to executive positions such as VP of Operations, Chief Operating Officer, or General Manager.
Specialize in quality systems, supply chain management, technical sales, or process improvement.
Pursue consulting or entrepreneurship in engineering-based industries.
