The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) Hospitality and Tourism Management at Oklahoma State University’s Spears School of Business prepares students for leadership and management roles in the global hospitality and tourism industry.

Course Overview

  • Year 1: Covers foundational courses in composition, American history, culinary production, introduction to hospitality and tourism, business analytics fundamentals, and entrepreneurship.

  • Year 2: Focuses on hotel and lodging operations, restaurant operations, financial analysis in hospitality, and food safety. Includes management fundamentals, accounting, and government studies.

  • Year 3: Includes marketing, finance, resort development, purchasing and cost control, data analytics, legal environment of business, and practical business skills. Requires a summer industry internship with a minimum of 480 hours of hospitality work experience.

  • Year 4: Covers advanced courses such as beverage business management, the business of tourism, revenue management, and strategic management. Includes professional development and electives
