Program Overview

The BSBA in Management with a concentration in Business Leadership at the University of South Carolina’s Darla Moore School of Business equips students with the skills to develop people, manage change, and lead organizations effectively. Emphasizing organizational behavior, strategic leadership, business ethics, human capital, and innovation, this flexible program allows students to tailor their academic path by pursuing optional concentrations in Business Analytics or Sustainability in Business.

All students in the Business Leadership concentration are required to complete a second major within the business school, ensuring broad expertise across key functional areas. Students benefit from award-winning faculty, case-based learning, and a robust set of real-world learning experiences.

Years 1 & 2:

  • Carolina Core: English, calculus, foreign language, natural sciences, social sciences, humanities

  • Business Core: Introductory courses in accounting, business statistics, economics, computer information systems, and professional communication

    • MGMT 376 – Employee Engagement

    • MGMT 402 – Managing Teams in the Workplace

    • MGMT 403 – Leadership in Organizations
