The Master of Science in Operations Research (MSOR) is a 30-credit STEM program for students to concentrate in areas such as mathematical programming, stochastic models, and simulation, through domain specific courses in logistics, supply chain management, revenue management, financial engineering, risk management, entrepreneurship, and general management.
The Master of Science in Operations Research is STEM-certified and eligible for F-1 STEM OPT extension.

Entrepreneurship, business competitions, investment or economics clubs, internships, case studies, market research and community projects may strengthen the profile.Advanced Placement(AP) Guidance: AP availability depends on the student's school. Relevant APs can strengthen an application and may earn university credit, but are not compulsory unless the university or programme explicitly requires them.Extracurricular activities: Estimated extracurricular contribution: 20–25%. Columbia considers intellectual engagement, initiative, creativity, leadership and community contribution.
