Successful organizations know how to manage people and resources efficiently to accomplish organizational goals and keep those goals in tune with changes in the external environment. Management specifies the coordination and integration of work activities with and through other people. Management understands the four major functions of business management (i.e., planning, organizing, leading and controlling), and how individuals, teams and program managers implement strategies effectively, efficiently and ethically.The McKenna School management department is one of the only departments in the United States to offer students in-depth training in Operational Excellence and cutting edge training in Management Information Systems.Incoming Freshman may apply to be a Stanley Black and Decker Scholar. Stanley Black and Decker offers two $1,000 annual scholarship awards for incoming first-generation freshman majoring in marketing. Stanley Black and Decker Scholars will also receive a guaranteed internship during their career at Saint Vincent College.
