Program Overview

Through the online B.A. in Finance at Gordon, you'll cover the basics of micro- and macroeconomics, accounting and statistics, and take a deep dive into financial markets, investments, financial planning and risk management through a faith framework. You'll build on your experience and expertise to assist others in budgeting for capital expansion, maximizing their return on investments and raising funds at the lowest cost. As you do so, you'll receive personalized instruction from Gordon's highly experienced faculty, who have held key roles at places like Fidelity, PMC Bank, Honeywell and Liberty Mutual. As a result, Gordon's finance students experience a 15% higher pass rate on Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 1 exam, compared to the global average.

Additional Information & Requirements

Students must continuously maintain a 2.0 GPA within the major.The finance major utilizes foundational and elective courses from both accounting and economics to develop the tools and understandings essential to competent financial theory and practice. This knowledge base is extended and specialized to the finance discipline through the study of international capital markets and financial institutions, financial planning and control, capital budgeting and development of capital resources. The two elective courses allow students to emphasize either corporate finance or financial markets/institutions.
