BUSINESS (MINOR)

Business intersects every industry and is the heart of organizations of every size -- from large corporations to locally owned small businesses. For non-business major students, a general business minor will provide a core understanding of business principles and skills that have applications in any career path you choose.Our faculty are the best in the business and include practicing consultants with Fortune 500 and multinational companies. Their knowledge and expertise will prepare you for any career in the world of business or elsewhere.You will take classes in the new, state-of-the-art LaPenta School of Business -- a hub of creativity, collaboration and possibility for a community of engaged and like-minded learners.You will learn the principles of business from expert faculty members across the fields of accounting, information systems, management, finance and marketing.You will develop an interdisciplinary foundation on key aspects of business and understand how the different segments work together in day-to-day operations.You will expand on the foundation of your liberal arts courses and develop the necessary skills and gain business knowledge and perspective integral to running a business in any industry.
