Program Overview

Our program provides an exploration of the world, which will help you develop awareness of other cultures and the skills necessary for a career in today's global marketplace.Through extensive out-of-classroom experiences, including opportunities to study and learn in locations abroad, you will enhance your education and build your r sum .With midtown Manhattan---one of the world's global centers -- just 20 miles away, you will be exposed to the wider world right here at home.You'll graduate feeling comfortable as a citizen of the world, prepared for a wide variety of careers in some of today's most challenging and exciting fields, such as government, public policy, diplomacy, politics, business, banking, global finance, consulting, tourism, law and many others.You will take courses in four key areas of study: political science, history, economics and foreign language.You'll gain the tools to follow and assess current political and economic events and changes, and you will learn to understand their historical and cultural impact.Through our service-learning programs, you will make a unique contribution to building global awareness, global partnerships and world peace.

A 3.0 GPA prior to admission.Satisfactory GRE scores.A brief, typewritten autobiography, speaking to the candidate's family background, educational background, work experiences and the reasons for choosing teaching as a profession.An interview with a member of the education department.A program plan of study signed by the adviser, and, in the case of adolescence or secondary education programs, also signed by the chair of the subject area department.Sign a Dispositional Commitment Form.
