5 Years On Campus Bachelors Program
The Business Administration BS – International Business Concentration/Business Analytics MS combines a broad business education and global perspective with advanced training in business analytics. It is designed for students who want to understand international markets, trade, cross-cultural business and global finance while also developing the statistical, database, visualization and analytical skills needed to make data-driven business decisions.
Curriculum Structure
Year 1: Students begin with the core foundations of business administration, building knowledge across areas such as economics, accounting, mathematics, communication and management. This foundation helps students understand how organizations operate before moving into the more specialized international-business and analytics coursework.
Year 2: Students strengthen their understanding of business functions while beginning to develop the global perspective central to the International Business concentration. Coursework introduces topics connected with international economics, trade, cultures and business environments, preparing students to examine how business decisions change across countries and markets.
Year 3: The International Business concentration becomes more specialized through subjects such as Dynamics of International Business, Bases of World Commerce, International Cultural Environment and Commercial Problems, International Financial Management and International Marketing. Students select concentration coursework and also complete the required foreign-language component or an approved equivalent, giving them a stronger understanding of cross-border commercial activity.
Year 4: Students bring together their business knowledge with more advanced international and managerial applications, developing the ability to assess global markets, communicate across cultures and understand multinational operations. UB describes the concentration as covering economics, trade, corporate cultures, marketing across borders and international financial management, providing a broad platform for graduate-level analytics study.
Graduate Stage – MS in Business Analytics: The master's component moves into technical analytics through courses such as Database Management Systems, Spreadsheet and Statistical Programming for Business, Statistical Foundations of Analytics, Data Visualization and the MS Practicum. Students can then develop deeper analytical capability through options including Model Managerial Process, Prescriptive Analytics and Optimization, Predictive Analytics and applied-domain analytics courses, connecting quantitative methods with practical business problems.
