Curriculum Structure
Year 1: Students begin with the foundations of business and university study, building analytical, communication and quantitative skills through courses such as ENGL 101 Critical Reading and Composition, MATH 122 Calculus for Business Administration & Social Sciences or MATH 141 Calculus I, and ACCT 225 Introduction to Financial Accounting. They also begin developing their international perspective through foreign-language study and courses such as MGSC 290 Computer Information Systems in Business or introductory economics.
Year 2: The second year strengthens core business knowledge through ACCT 226 Introduction to Managerial Accounting, MGMT 250 Professional Communication, MGMT 371 Principles of Management, and MGSC 291 Applied Statistics for Business. Students then move into the international business curriculum with IBUS 310 Globalization and Business, alongside FINA 363 Introduction to Finance, while continuing their foreign-language development and second business major.
Year 3: Students deepen their understanding of how businesses function internationally through MGSC 395 Operations Management, MKTG 350 Principles of Marketing, and an IB Thematic Course. A defining part of this stage is the required semester abroad, where students complete approved international business coursework at a partner institution while continuing courses related to their second major and language or elective requirements.
Year 4: The final year brings together global and functional business knowledge through an IB Functional Course, IB Thematic Course, ACCT 324 Survey of Commercial Law, and MGMT 478 Strategic Management. Students also complete remaining requirements for their second business major, giving them both international business expertise and specialized functional knowledge for professional careers.
