There are more than 600 job openings in Computer and Information Technology in Northeastern Oklahoma. AI practitioners need to be educated in machine learning, deep learning, AI algorithms, and practical techniques. The Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Artificial Intelligence aims to prepare students for a career in AI by presenting them with a combination of AI fundamentals and exposure to cutting-edge tools they will encounter in industry. The degree completion program within the OU Polytechnic Institute at OU-Tulsa includes practical computing that builds in related topics in cybersecurity and software development. Students will be encouraged to acquire industry certification during their coursework and will be coached on how to do so.
