The BS in Computer Science and Bioengineering is an interdisciplinary program designed to equip students with expertise at the intersection of engineering, biology, and computing. By combining computational thinking with biomedical problem-solving, students learn to analyze biological systems, model complex health phenomena, and innovate healthcare technologies.

  • Year 1: Grainger Engineering, Bioengineering Seminar,  Intro to Computer Science I, Calculus I, Writing and Research,  Molecular & Cellular Basis of Life, Intro to Computer Science II, Discrete Structures, Calculus II, University Physics: Mechanics, Introduction to Bioengineering, General Education Elective

  • Year 2: Data Structures, Software Design Lab, Calculus III, University Physics: Electricity & Magnetism, General Education Elective, Computer Architecture, Intro to Differential Equations, Linear Algebra with Computational Applications, Signals & Systems in Bioengineering

  • Year 3: Systems Programming, Cellular Bioengineering, BIOE Technical Electives, Language (Third Level), Intro to Algorithms & Models of Computation, Computational Tools for Biological Data, Upper Division Technical Electives

  • Year 4: Programming for Econometrics, Technical Electives, General Education Elective, Free Elective, Senior Design, Technical Electives
