Program Overview

The Studio Art program offers a conceptual and process-oriented approach to the visual arts through variety of mediums. Students are challenged to grow and develop their personal style as an artist through an emphasis on craft, skills, conceptual thinking and an understanding of an art historical context for their work. We offer a robust visiting artist program that routinely brings in professional artists to work with students. Senior studio art majors are all given their own studio to develop a major exhibition for the Wright Museum of Art during the student's final semester.
