Program Overview

The Bachelor of Arts in Music Education program is based on the idea that the best way to prepare students to become great music teachers is to constantly place them in actual teaching settings alongside outstanding veteran music educators. The BA in Music Education is based on a cohort model in which only a small number of students is accepted into the program each year. This group of students will take all music and music education courses together as a group. This system results in a low student/teacher ratio, provides significant personal attention for each student, and creates a close, nurturing atmosphere among the students in each cohort.
