The Elementary Teacher Education Program in the Urban Institute for Teacher Education at the University of Utah is designed to effectively prepare teacher candidates to work with students across various age and ability levels, and from diverse cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
TOEFL ibT of 80, Interview with Admissions Representative, IELTS minimum required score of 6.5 overall band. ACT English score of 18 or higher, SAT Reading score of 27 or higher, at least 3 years US H.S graduate with A’s & Bs in Non-ESL English Classes US universities use a holistic admissions review. Beyond grades and standardized test scores, they weigh the strength of your overall profile to understand who you are as a student and a person.
Profile Assessment: Applicants are generally assessed on their preparation in English, social sciences, research and quantitative reasoning. Statistics may be particularly helpful for Psychology, Education Research, Public Policy and other research-based programs.
