The Liberal Studies/Elementary Education (LSEE) major at Humboldt is a course of study whose main purpose is to prepare students to work toward a California Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential. The courses in the LSEE major also satisfy all the general education requirements for Humboldt State. A LSEE major has all the career opportunities of any Liberal Studies major, but in addition, is provided with the background knowledge needed to be an excellent elementary school teacher as well as pass the CSET exam required to get into Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential Programs and Special Education Teaching Credential Programs.
