Mathematics has long been vital to understanding how our world works. As a mathematics education major at Clark, you’ll study fundamental mathematics — such as algebra, trigonometry, geometry, and calculus — and also have the opportunity to shape the next generation of learners.
First-year Common Application, Secondary school report: along with an official high school transcript, Teacher evaluation form, SAT/ACT scores, Results from any national examinations (e.g., A levels, GCSE, WASSCE, CBSE, ISCE, CXC, CAPE, etc.), Proof of English proficiency TOEFL iBT (85 or higher overall and 15 or higher on every section), or IELTS (6.5 or higher overall and 6.0 or higher on every section), or SAT Critical Reading, SAT Evidence-Based Reading (600 or higher)and Writing section (650 or higher), ACT Reading section scores (26 or higher). Interview required. US universities use a holistic admissions review. Beyond grades and standardized test scores, they weigh the strength of your overall profile to understand who you are as a student and a person.
Profile Assessment: Applicants are generally assessed on their preparation in English, social sciences, research and quantitative reasoning. Statistics may be particularly helpful for Psychology, Education Research, Public Policy and other research-based programs.
