Professional education courses supplement the coursework in math, giving students skills for the classroom and leading to teaching certification in Math for Grades 7-12.
Students who are working toward secondary education licensure will teach at middle schools and high schools. With more varied experience, our graduates are well-prepared and highly competitive for available positions in the classroom. MC graduates in the math education track have a 100% passage on the Praxis teacher certification exams and are highly sought after by school district administrators. And, because the degree is structured as a mathematics degree, graduates are also desirable job candidates in other fields as well.
