Program Overview

Students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above to enroll in introductory education courses. Students whose GPAs are below 3.0 but above 2.9 may appeal for special permission to enroll in an introductory foundations course. All students apply for admission to an educational sequence while enrolled in one of the 200-level foundations courses listed above. Applicants must have already taken the NYSTCE Academic Literacy and Skills Test. Students who are denied admission to the an educational sequence may appeal the decision.

Submit a Freshman application on the CUNY Application page and pay a non-refundable application fee of $65, Submit educational documents, Photocopies of secondary school transcripts or marksheets, Official transcripts from U.S. high school if attended, Photocopy of secondary school diploma or external examination certificates from outside, Submit a photocopy of certified translation of all transcripts, diplomas and certificates if they are not in English, Submit a proof of English language proficiency if you are not a native speaker of English, TOEFL: The minimum score for undergraduate admissions is 45 Internet-based, IELTS: minimum required score: 5.0 overall band, Pearson Test of English Academic: The minimum required score: 39, Duolingo: minimum required score: 75
