The School of Education offers an innovative program combining a secondary education major with a major in an additional subject. These additional subjects include: English, history, mathematics, political science*, and psychology. This program, the first of its kind among Chicagoland universities, enables graduates to be recognized as experts both in teaching techniques and in a specific subject area.
Common Application, Official School Transcript(s), Affidavit of support, Letter of Recommendation, Personal Statement, Essay, Identification Documents, Test scores: ACT, SAT, IELTS, TOEFL US universities use a holistic admissions review. Beyond grades and standardized test scores, they weigh the strength of your overall profile to understand who you are as a student and a person.
Profile Assessment: Applicants are generally assessed on their preparation in English, social sciences, research and quantitative reasoning. Statistics may be particularly helpful for Psychology, Education Research, Public Policy and other research-based programs.
