University of Alabama BirminghamUAB's Secondary Education program prepares educators to recognize and meet the evolving needs of students in today’s society. Your passion for reading, writing, mentoring students, and working with other educators to prepare tomorrow’s communicators and leaders can be realized at UAB through our English Language Arts teacher certification degree. English Language Arts is a broad teaching field that encompasses composition, theatre, mass communications, public speaking, a survey of the literature, and upper-level teaching field courses. This program prepares candidates to teach grades 6-12.
