The Exceptional Education B.S. provides students a community-embedded teacher preparation program that culminates in certification in Exceptional Education K-12 with Reading and ESOL endorsements. The Exceptional Education program is appropriate for students interested in employment in K-12 settings working with students with disabilities. Exceptional Education is a critical shortage area and students may be eligible for funding under the TEACH grant.
Application Senior School Certificate (SSC), Higher School Certificate (HSC), and Mark Sheet. Official Transcripts TOEFL iBT: 80 or IELTS 6.5 overall. Official Standardized Test Scores* from either the SAT , ACT or CLT Essay is optional (but strongly recommended) US universities use a holistic admissions review. Beyond grades and standardized test scores, they weigh the strength of your overall profile to understand who you are as a student and a person.
Profile Assessment: Applicants are generally assessed on their preparation in English, social sciences, research and quantitative reasoning. Statistics may be particularly helpful for Psychology, Education Research, Public Policy and other research-based programs. Volunteering, tutoring, community projects, advocacy, research, student leadership and activities involving communication or social issues may strengthen the application.Essays & recommendations: Personal essays and teacher/counselor recommendations give context to your achievements and help demonstrate fit with the program.Teacher
