International applicants must submit a completed International Student Application for Admission and either an essay or interview. The essay should be a 3–5 paragraph personal statement explaining what interests the applicant most about CBU and how its programs, faculty, and location can help achieve their future goals.
Students must send the following items before an I-20 will be issued:

Completion of the Affidavit of Financial Support (Sponsor Form).
Applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate English proficiency through an approved English test score or official transcripts qualifying for an approved waiver.
English proficiency may be demonstrated through graduation from a U.S. high school or IB school with at least two years of coursework, or completion of 24 transferable U.S. college units with a 2.0 GPA, including the equivalent of CBU’s ENGL 1130 course.
Standard: Minimum 2.5 GPA; Joint: Minimum 2.5 GPA with insufficient language proficiency, requiring completion of the Intensive English Program before starting the undergraduate program.
