The curriculum provides a foundation of fundamental courses in electrical technology at the lower level, and at the upper level emphasizes the areas of communications, instrumentation, analog and digital controls, microprocessors, microcontrollers, power systems and digital signal processing. Graduates in electrical engineering technology will be able to design and install all types of electrical instrumentation as well as computers and their networks. They will also be able to prepare presentations and write technical documents.

Graduates find employment as production engineer, process engineer, electrical design engineer, electronics support engineer and controls technician. Recent employers include: Dana Corp., DRS Mobilized Environmental Systems, Ganymede Corp., Mitsubishi Electric Automotive, Northup Grumman, National Air & Space Intelligence Center, Duke Energy, Procter & Gamble, A & A Inc., L3 Communication, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, U.S. Department of Defense contractors and Rockwell Automation.
