The principal objective of the Maritime Logistics and Security Program is to provide midshipmen with the knowledge and skills required to manage complex maritime and intermodal supply chains and to assist in addressing the security challenges facing the marine transportation system.

All candidates for admission to the Academy must be at least 17 years of age and must not have passed their 25th birthday before 1 July in the year they wish to enter the Academy.
