Materials Science and Engineering BS

Use plastics or other disposable material to develop high-performance fabrics. Develop carbon nanotubes or graphene materials to help sense bacteria, chemicals and other dangers in our food and water supply. In this major you will study the chemical and physical nature of materials at the macro, micro, and nano scales. You ll understand the relationships between structure, properties, and processing of engineering materials, with an emphasis on applications and materials design.
