Program Overview

The Mechanical Engineering major (designated as a pre-major) is a combination of two course stems. In the Thermal/Fluids stem, students study fluid mechanics, heat transfer and thermodynamics. In the Materials/Mechanical Systems stem, students study engineering materials and manufacturing processes along with control systems and machine design. Students can also add a variety of electives to their degree plan.
