Program Overview

Mechatronics is the field concerned with the synergistic integration of mechanical, electrical, electronic, computer technology and engineering into new automated systems that are extremely reliable, efficient and cost effective. The Mechatronics concentration focuses on instruction in the basic engineering principles of mechanical, electrical and computer technology, digital control systems, control electronics and simulation and system modeling. The graduate of this program will be proficient in several areas of technology with a strong emphasis on system integration and control.
