Bachelors in Classics

4 Years On Campus Bachelors Program

College of the Holy Cross

Program Overview

You can study ancient history, politics, literature, mythology, rhetoric, art and archaeology, religion and ancient science in courses requiring no knowledge of ancient languages. All majors study both Greek and Latin. You can start at any level, as introductory, intermediate, and advanced courses are available every semester in both languages. A classics major is an interdisciplinary education in the liberal arts. The experience you gain in reading texts closely, interpreting visual and material culture, and analyzing data develops valuable skills for any of the varied career paths you and your fellow majors successfully pursue.
