Program Overview

Students pursuing the Bachelor of Arts degree in English select one of two options. The General option is intended for those pursuing a liberal arts education with special emphasis on literature and writing; students can focus their General option programs by taking electives in one of several defined tracks or individually tailor their programs in consultation with a college adviser. Students interested in teaching middle or high school English should complete the Single Subject Credential (SSC) option and meet minimum GPA requirements to be eligible for certification of subject area competency.
