Program Overview

Environmental Geoscience B.S. majors take courses in geology and biology that relate to environmental studies. The degree prepares students for employment as an entry-level environmental science technician or for graduate school in environmental science. BYU-Idaho has an agreement with the University of Idaho, Idaho Falls that allows students to complete a M.S. in Environmental Science in 1 year, if certain requirements are met. The U.S. Department of Labor predicts that jobs in environmental science will grow 11% in the next ten years.
