This major is affiliated with the Environmental Studies Program (ENST) and is designed for students interested in biology and the environment.Environmental biology provides the student with a focus on biological systems and how organisms interact with the abiotic and biotic components of the environment. It also provides a breadth of exposure to environmental studies beyond the field of biology. The courses below are required for the major.
Requires average GPA from 3.72 to 3.91 , An average SAT score between 1330-1500 or an average ACT score of 31-34 is required. TOEFL and IELTS Scores. US universities use a holistic admissions review. Profile Assessment: Science applicants are generally assessed on the rigour of their Mathematics and laboratory-science coursework. Relevant preparation may include Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Calculus or Statistics, depending on the intended field. Research, science fairs, Olympiads, laboratory exposure, independent investigation and environmental or community-science projects can demonstrate scientific curiosity and analytical thinking.Advanced Placement(AP) Guidance: AP availability depends on the student's school.
