The Earth and Environmental Science Department houses three majors the Bachelor of Science in Earth Science; the Bachelor of Arts in Earth Science; and the Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science. Students in these majors learn how Earth and the environment have evolved and continue to evolve; how Earth systems, including human agents, interact to produce the environment in which we live; and how present and future changes may impact the habitability of Earth
Common Application or Coalition Application and personal essay to be included in this application, must demonstrate adequate English proficiency and English as the primary language of school instruction; English as the first/native language; TOEFL iBT of 80+ or TOEFL Essentials of 8.5+; IELTS of 6.5+; Duolingo English Test DET of 105+; SAT Reading of 600+; ACT English Language Arts of 26+; and an admission interview, Denison University Certification of Finances, Early Decision Agreement only required for early decision applicants, Interview, ACT/SAT Scores, Counselor Recommendation and School Report, High School Transcript, At least one teacher of a core course must submit a teacher evaluation form for you US universities use a holistic admissions review. Beyond grades and standardized test scores, they weigh the strength of your overall profile to understand who you are as a student and a person.
Profile Assessment: Science applicants are generally assessed on the rigour of their Mathematics and laboratory-science coursework. Relevant preparation may include Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Calculus or Statistics, depending on the intended field. Research, science fairs, Olympiads, laboratory exposure, independent investigation and environmental or community-science projects can demonstrate scientific curiosity and analytical thinking.Advanced Placement(AP) Guidance: AP availability depends on the student's school.
