Program Overview

This concentration enables students to understand and assess climate change and its consequences on society within the context of natural and social sciences, law, policy, psychology, epidemiology and culture.  Students can focus on sciences, social discourses, worldviews, social drivers, energy, human security and vulnerability, and adaptation strategies within local and global contexts. This concentration prepares students to be fluent in both the physical sciences and the societal impacts of climate change and is for students interested in pursuing careers in government, energy, business, urban planning, financial risk assessment and climate-impacted industries.
