The Interdisciplinary Program in Environmental Science offers courses to prepare students (1) for environmental science careers, and to become active proponents for their communities in the scientific and policy processes surrounding environmental issues, (2) to meet the environmental science employment demands of local, state, and federal governmental agencies, private consulting, and industry, and (3) to pursue advanced degrees in environmental/physical sciences.
High school graduates, the minimum required TOEFL score is 500 for admission to Lehman., cumulative GPA of 2.3 or better. US universities use a holistic admissions review. Beyond grades and standardized test scores, they weigh the strength of your overall profile to understand who you are as a student and a person.
Profile Assessment: Science applicants are generally assessed on the rigour of their Mathematics and laboratory-science coursework. Relevant preparation may include Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Calculus or Statistics, depending on the intended field. Research, science fairs, Olympiads, laboratory exposure, independent investigation and environmental or community-science projects can demonstrate scientific curiosity and analytical thinking.Advanced Placement(AP) Guidance: AP availability depends on the student's school.
