University of Connecticut

Program Overview

The Department of Natural Resources and the Environment Undergraduate Program provides students with a rigorous education in natural resources management and technology with a strong background in basic sciences and liberal arts. The program offers four concentrations, which are like minors but are within the major field of study rather than in a different major field of study namely Environmental Sustainability and Conservation, Fisheries and Wildlife Conservation, Sustainable Forest Resources and Water Resources and Climate. These concentrations allow NRE students to deepen their educational experience in an area of their interest.
