The Department of Africana Studies is in the School of Arts and Humanities with such departments as History, Music, Latin American, Latino, and Puerto Rican Studies, English, and Philosophy. Undergraduates can gain a major or a minor in Africana Studies, and/or combine a major with Early Childhood Education studies. Courses taken in Africana Studies can also fulfill the College's GEN. ED. distribution requirement in historical studies, comparative culture, the arts, or literature.
High school graduates, the minimum required TOEFL score is 500 for admission to Lehman., cumulative GPA of 2.3 or better.
