The BA program in Asian Pacific American studies provides an opportunity for students to study the long history and rich contemporary experiences, cultures and communities of Asian Pacific Americans in the Southwest with dedicated, inspiring faculty. A liberal arts emphasis on critical thinking, complex reasoning and solid writing skills prepares students to engage in research that will inform meaningful dialogues between policymakers, educators and society at large about Asian American and Pacific Islander communities for years to come. The Asian Pacific American Studies program is housed at ASU's School of Social Transformation, the only school of its kind in the United States.
