Program Overview

At least four upper division courses required for the major must be completed successfully at CSULB. Students are encouraged, however, to complete up to a year of their language study in approved programs of study abroad. A minimum of 35 units is required. The following courses are prerequisites to the major and may be satisfied by appropriate high school preparation or by examination.

Complete each of the courses in the comprehensive pattern of college preparatory subject requirements with a grade of C or higher prior to high school graduation.3.0 GPA or greater in college preparatory subjects, AND 3,500 minimum CSULB Index to be considered, for non-STEM major and a 3,600 minimum STEM Index for STEM majors.
