Program Overview

Interdisciplinary approaches to study of American civilization from colonial period through twentieth century. Significant issues and problems in American life examined from perspectives of several disciplines. Students choose a five-course elective pattern in consultation with the program advisor in one of the following areas of concentration. No more than two courses in this elective pattern can come from any one academic department.

Complete each of the courses in the comprehensive pattern of college preparatory subject requirements with a grade of C or higher prior to high school graduation.3.0 GPA or greater in college preparatory subjects, AND 3,500 minimum CSULB Index to be considered, for non-STEM major and a 3,600 minimum STEM Index for STEM majors.
