The American Indian Studies curriculum at the University of North Dakota has been established to meet needs both on the campus and throughout the state. The department prepares its graduates for lifelong careers of learning and thinking, for living in and working with, in, and around Native American communities, and for a better understanding of cultures, histories, literatures, laws, and traditions in the United States and beyond, in their local and global expressions.
