A Biblical Languages emphasis of the Ancient Languages Major involves the study of the primary languages of the Bible, Hebrew and Greek. The Scriptures are better understood in the original languages and with knowledge of the culture that produced its writings. In addition, students can acquire practical language tools and the linguistic distinctives of the major. A biblical language emphasis may also be chosen as a preparation for graduate studies at a seminary or institution of higher education.
