The BA in French offers students the ability to learn speaking writing, and analytical skills in French. It also introduces them to the various cultures of France, and the Francophone world. Students acquire an understanding of those countries' historical background and contemporary issues while developing their proficiency in French. The program fosters critical approaches to Francophone Literatures and Cultures. The program prepares students for an ever-changing world and offers career opportunities in International government, business, travel, communications, and other fields where the knowledge of more than one language is essential.
Applicants must submit an online CSU application for admission, Applicants must submit all supplementary documents required such as transcripts and standardized test scores, High school graduates; Community college transfer students; GPA 3.0, English Proficiency: TOEFL score of 61 Internet-based or 525 Paper-based or above, An overall IELTS score of 6.0 or above., If studied 3 consecutive years where English was the medium of instruction -- TOEFL/IELTS not required, If you have taken O level examinations, CSUEB requires that five subjects are passed in one sitting or the same year, including Math and English, If you have taken A level and/or AS level examinations, CSUEB may award college credit of up to 24 semester units if you pass these exams with a C or higher, International Baccalaureate IB curriculum program, please submit your school transcripts for evaluation, I-20 Letter of Consent, Declaration of Finances, and Health Insurance Compliance.
