Origin language courses prepare students for careers with international businesses and organizations, for graduate study, and to teach at the K-12 or postsecondary level. As you explore such careers or combine a foreign language with another degree, you' all have the option to study French language and culture for a summer, semester or entire year in Africa, France or Canada. French is a major international language. It is the official language of many international entities, including the European Union and the United Nations. It is an official language or is widely spoken in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, North America (especially Canada) and Europe.
