Program Overview

Students take a series of required courses in which they hone their linguistic skills (primarily with Read, Think, Write in French) before delving into the study of literature, culture, politics and society with Introduction to French and Francophone Studies: History and Introduction to French and Francophone Studies: Literature, and the Senior Seminar in which students refine their understanding of literary analysis, works and methods and are introduced  to research in French and francophone studies. Students also take advanced electives on any aspect of French or francophone literature, culture, or history.
